The Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park offers guided tours for groups and families, or groups looking to visit outside of regular museum hours, based on availability. Tours for groups are offered at special rates and are led by trained docents.

Tours are available for all types of groups be they school, club, or family. See below for details on our different tour types.

Price: $5 per person

Join our trained docents for a tour of the museum’s permanent exhibit, “Our Changing Waterfront.” Learn about Chesapeake Bay ecology with our large-scale, vibrant aquariums. Learn about harvesting seafood from the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and how workers at McNasby’s processed seafood for sale to restaurants and grocery stores.

  Experience our permanent exhibit and complete a Build a Buoy     activity with a member our our education staff.

  Build a Buoy is a STEM Challenge where students learn about the purpose of buoys, particularly NOAA’s Chesapeake Bay Interpretive Buoy System (CBIBS) and its role in monitoring weather and water quality parameters throughout the Bay. Students then break into small groups to build their own miniature buoys in the time allotted using critical thinking, team work, and engineering principles.
