Since the weather is not 100% predictable, we will do our best to have a plan for you. Our goal is for your students to have the best possible experience. We will go on as scheduled rain or shine unless otherwise notified by Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park staff. We will try to notify you and your team by 2pm the day before your trip if there is a rescheduling.
Potential concerns that may warrant rescheduling can include:
- Extreme rain, wind or cold
- 2-hour delays or school closures
- For Wilma Lee trips, high winds or the chance of thunderstorms will warrant a reschedule.
Safety is our number one priority. Students will be outside near the water in the woods and may get dirty. Children should wear comfortable clothes and tight-fitting shoes (no crocs or flip-flops). Apply sunscreen/bug spray ahead of time, as necessary, though please leave bottles and sprays at home. Be prepared for all types of weather. Jackets, raincoats, hats, gloves, layers, etc. may be necessary.
A full water bottle. We have a water bottle filling station inside our building as well as a water fountain. If the schedule includes lunch, bring a non-perishable bagged lunch. We do not provide food services.
