Cruise with Us

Set sail with us on the Wilma Lee, one of only a few remaining Chesapeake Bay Skipjacks.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, cruises are limited to 23 passengers including captain and crew. All protocols are undertaken including social distancing and requiring masks while boarding. The boat is open air and there is space to socially distance.

Public cruises occur from April through October, please see descriptions below for costs and times and departure points. Boarding starts 15 minutes prior to departure time, please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure. Cruises are subject to cancellation due to weather and unforeseen conditions but are refundable should Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park need to cancel.

Built in 1940 by the well-known boat builder, Bronza Parks, and meticulously restored in 2019, the Wilma Lee offers an authentic setting for adults and students to connect to the Bay through both cultural and ecological lenses. Whether you’re visiting Annapolis or it’s your hometown, public cruises on the Wilma Lee are a perfect opportunity for a memorable date night, special celebration, or to simply wind down after a stressful week. We invite you to sit back and let the wind carry you across the water. We also offer private charters and education tours for school-aged groups.

Important Info

  • FACE MASKS REQUIRED WHILE BOARDING.
  • Tickets are required for children and must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Cruises occur rain or shine; we will cancel up to 2 hours prior to departure for high winds or thunderstorms. If necessary, cruise cancellation will be texted to your provided cell phone contact number.
  • Refer to your ticket for departure point. Boarding starts 15 minutes prior to departure time, please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure. We depart on time, please be prompt. No refunds for no-shows.
  • Please allow extra time for parking. We are unable to hold the boat past our scheduled departure time.
  • Flat shoes are recommended and heels will not be permitted.
  • Please bring sunscreen, water bottle, hat and wear comfortable clothing. There is very little shade on the boat. No outside food or drink permitted.
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • If you do not receive an email confirmation after purchasing your ticket, please email [email protected] Tickets will include a QR code that will be scanned at dock prior to boarding. You can present the ticket on your cell phone or print out the ticket. If you purchased more than one ticket, there is a QR code at the top of each ticket. Every passenger is required to have a ticket.

Weather Cancellation Policy

We cruise rain or shine, but we will cancel two hours prior to departure for high winds or thunderstorms. We will contact you via text on the cell phone number provided. Cruises are subject to cancellation due to weather and unforeseen conditions and are fully refundable. No refunds for guest cancellations or no-shows.

Heritage Cruises

  • Cost: $35 Adults (18+), $15 Kids (7 – 17), Free Child (6 & under)
  • Time: 3:00 pm-5:00 pm
  • Days of the Week: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holiday Mondays
  • Departs/Returns: Annapolis City Dock, Harborside of Susan Campbell Park, Dock Street, Annapolis, MD 21401

Experience Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay like never before on this guided two hour heritage sail aboard the historic Skipjack Wilma Lee. Learn about the city’s history and the ecology of the Bay while viewing landmarks like the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and the Naval Academy. Tour guides will identify and share fun facts about native Chesapeake Bay wildlife along the sail. Perfect for families and maritime enthusiasts. Complimentary water is available onboard.

Sunset Cruises

  • Cost: $60.00 per person (Friday & Saturday), $50.00 per person (Thursday & Sunday), 21 and older only
  • Time: 5:30 pm-7:30 pm
  • Days of the Week: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • Departs/Returns: Annapolis City Dock, Harborside of Susan Campbell Park, Dock Street, Annapolis, MD 21401

Join our crew for a two-hour extraordinary cruise enjoying the golden hour on the Chesapeake Bay. Includes complimentary beverages (wine, beer, canned cocktails and soda).

Wednesday Night Races (WNR) Watch Party

  • Cost: $50.00 per person, 21 and older only
  • Time: 5:30 pm-7:30 pm
  • Days of the Week: Wednesday
  • Departs/Returns: Docks at Annapolis Maritime Museum, 723 Second Street, Annapolis MD 21403 (Eastport)

Join our crew for a two-hour extraordinary view of the races. The WNR tradition watch party aboard the Wilma Lee is a perfect opportunity to catch the races up close. We invite you to sit back and watch the fierce competition of one-design sailboat racing. Includes complimentary beverages (wine, beer, canned cocktails and soda).

Give your guests the unique experience of setting sail with us on the Wilma Lee, one of only a few remaining Chesapeake Bay Skipjacks. Built in 1940 by the well-known boat builder, Bronza Parks, and meticulously restored in 2019, the Wilma Lee offers an authentic setting perfect for small weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, reunions, vow renewals, bachelor/bachelorette parties, cocktail parties, corporate team building, or just a casual cruise on the water. Clients will work with preferred caterer to select food/drink and use catering staff. Maximum capacity is 20 guests (due to current COVID-19 restrictions).

Education Cruises

  • Cost: $18 / Participant, 5th grade and up only
  • Time: 2 hours
  • Available for: Schools, Scout Troops, Homeschool Co-ops, Youth Groups

Come experience what life was like as a crew member living on the water, become familiar with skipjack terminology and tools, and explore the water ways and tributaries around the Bay. Students will be actively engaged in conducting water quality testing, investigating Bay animals, maritime history, and STEAM concepts, all while enjoying the beautiful Chesapeake Bay setting. Bringing to life content that is discussed in the classroom. Maximum capacity is 35 participants (current COVID-19 restrictions is 20 passengers). Trips start Fall 2020.
