It includes sections on oystering and oystermen, African American watermen, design and construction of bugeyes and skipjacks. It also covers the Annapolis waterfront’s role in WWII through the construction of PT Boats as well as the growth of the boatyards following the war as Annapolis became one of the country’s centers for sailing and pleasure boats. This book contains more than 150 historical photographs of the Annapolis waterfront and the Chesapeake Bay.
