Celebrate the spring equinox and the beginning of boating season each March by burning those nasty winter socks at the Annapolis Oyster Roast & Sock Burning. In a tradition dating back to the late-1970s, Annapolitans relieve themselves of the necessities of winter as the “Burn Your Socks” is recited.

What to Expect
For this event we are doing our part to reduce landfill waste which means all cups, plates, and utensils are biodegradable. We will be recycling aluminum and glass bottles as well as our oyster shells. Help us protect our environment! Please throw away waste in the designated marked bins.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to Sunday, March 22, 2026. Registrants will receive updates via email, in addition to posts made on Instagram, Facebook, and our website.
Drink tickets are available for purchase at the ticket table adjacent to the bar.
Though we typically welcome our four-legged friends, dogs are not permitted at this event.
Strollers are not permitted at this event due to large crowds.
We ask that you do not bring chairs due to space limitations.
