When school is out, AMM is In!
We pack each day with nature exploration, hands-on environmental education, and FUN! At AMM, children can explore our beautiful Park Campus with friends new and old, investigate local animals, play games, make arts and crafts, and so much more! Open to current K-5th grade students.
All activities will be designed to be spent outdoors, so please come dressed to enjoy the weather outside.

Pricing:
$80/ child for AMM Family-Level Members
$90/ child for nonmembers
Dates are based on the AACPS calendar. However, private and homeschool campers are welcome to attend as well!
School’s Out Camp takes place at our Park campus located at 7300 Edgewood Road from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
After Care is available from 4:00 – 5:00 PM.

Welcome Winter!
As our natural world changes to the winter season, join us to see what’s happening in our Park! Discover how animals and plants survive through the winter months, investigate the science behind seasonal changes, and make some fun winter-themed crafts. Campers will also enjoy a warm and toasty campfire with s’mores!

Oh Deer!
Explore our Park Campus as White-Tailed Deer! Learn about their adaptations and life history by making deer-themed crafts and playing games to discover the white-tailed deer’s role in our ecosystem. Join us to better understand these ubiquitous members of our community!

STEM of the Chesapeake Bay!
Come enjoy fun STEM activities and explore what our 12-acre park has to offer. We will conduct experiments and complete “Chesapeake Challenges.”

What floats your boat?
Here at AMM, we are proud of our rich maritime history and want you to experience it, too! Join us as we learn about the maritime alphabet and see how flags are used for communication now and back when the pirates ruled the Chesapeake Bay. We will name the parts of a boat in a fun outdoor game as well as build and test out our own mini boats on the water!

Mighty Ducks
Quack, quack, who’s there? Wintering waterfowl are visiting Back Creek and we want to see who’s here! Learn to identify common species and discover how they survive the winter in the Chesapeake Bay. We’ll also compete in Migration Tag!

Weather and Tides
Join us for a day filled with fun activities about the rain and snow! Investigate the tides and test what temperature liquids will freeze at an outdoor day of fun!

Groovy Groundhogs
Join us to learn about the fascinating creatures called groundhogs or woodchucks. Find out how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Monday, Feb 16
The Year of the Snake
Join us as we slither and slide into activities and games highlighting our often-misunderstood park inhabitants, the snakes. We will use our creativity for crafts that highlight the adaptations, traits, and habitat of snakes, and play games about their behaviors in different seasons.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations received 2 weeks or more before the start date of your camp, receive a full refund minus the $10 non-refundable registration fee.
- Cancellations received within 2 weeks will not be eligible for a refund.
- In the rare case of low enrollment, a decision will be made three days in advance and communicated via email to any registered families with a full refund.
- All cancellation requests must be made in writing and emailed to AMM’s Education Program Coordinator at bhaynes@amaritime.org
