SCHOOL’S OUT CAMP
When school is out, AMM is In!
We pack each day with nature exploration, hands-on environmental education, and FUN! At AMM, children can explore our beautiful Park Campus with friends new and old, investigate local animals, play games, make arts and crafts, and so much more! Open to K-5th grade students.
All activities will be designed to be spent outdoors, so please come dressed to enjoy the weather outside.
Pricing:
$75/ child for AMM Family-Level Members
$85/ child for nonmembers
Dates are based on the AACPS calendar. However, private and homeschool campers are welcome to attend as well!
School’s Out Camp takes place at our Park campus located at 7300 Edgewood Road from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
After Care is available from 4:00 – 5:00 PM.

A Day Full of Fish!
Today’s School’s Out Campers will dive deep into the world of fish! We will learn about native fish and their Bay habitats, make fish art, and play a migratory fish game! We may even see some fish friends up close!

Orange You Glad It’s Autumn?
Join us for a fun day full of the color orange! This color lends itself to the fall season and we will be in search of the color in nature all day. We will celebrate with colorful art projects and outdoor hikes searching for animals and plants that display this autumnal shade. What can you think of that is naturally orange?

Bats occupy almost every habitat in the world including our Chesapeake Bay watershed region! Join our educators to learn how bats are very important with games, crafts, and outdoor activities.

Join us today to learn about some local wildlife! Discover beavers, muskrats, otters, and more! Explore furs and animal artifacts while learning how and where they live in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.

What’s for dinner for wildlife?
Join us for a day about food cycles, food chains, and food webs. We will learn how producers, consumers, and decomposers all get their energy with a hands-on food web activity and games to understand the environmental connection related to foods for all living organisms.

Let’s get WILD like Wildlife!
Explore with us today and learn about wildlife and habitats. We will bring nature into our classroom and also participate in activities outside in our 12-acre park.

Freeze!
Come prepared to explore our “Frozen” surroundings. Make snowmen, examine deer antlers, and other fun activities designed for frosty weather. Walk the park to see how freezing temperatures affect the animals, plants, water and the earth.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations received 2 weeks or more before the start date of your camp, receive a full refund minus the $10 non-refundable registration fee.
- Cancellations received within 2 weeks will not be eligible for a refund.
- In the rare case of low enrollment, a decision will be made three days in advance and communicated via email to any registered families with a full refund.
- All cancellation requests must be made in writing and emailed to AMM’s Education Program Coordinator at jmertz@amaritime.org
