Jack Owens was passionate about the Owens Yacht Company employees. Throughout his interviews, he tells stories of the skilled boatbuilders he has been able to work with. During its peak production, the company had 500 employees at their Baltimore plant. Jack had a strong bond with many of the men working under him and talks about them in his interviews. He also talks about his pride in the high level of skill their employees had at boatbuilding, many were well known for their work in the boating community.
