Kids under 5 are free. Admission includes unlimited raw and roasted oysters and live music. Food trucks will be on site with additional food offerings\, and beer\, wine\, and select cocktails will be available for purchase. \nCelebrate the spring equinox and the beginning of boating season each March by burning those nasty winter socks at the Annapolis Oyster Roast & Sock Burning. In a tradition dating back to the late-1970s\, Annapolitans relieve themselves of the necessities of winter as the “Burn Your Socks” is recited. \nWhat to Expect \n\nFor this event we are doing our part to reduce landfill waste which means all cups\, plates\, and utensils are biodegradable. We will be recycling aluminum and glass bottles as well as our oyster shells. Help us protect our environment! Please throw away waste in the designated marked bins.\nIn the event of inclement weather\, the event will be moved to Sunday\, March 23\, 2025.
