Update 2020 Annapolis Oyster Roast & Sock Burning – Event Cancelled

ANNAPOLIS, MD – (March 12, 2020) Along with our entire community, we have been cautiously optimistic regarding the COVID-19. For the last week, we’ve been closely monitoring the situation, hoping that we’ll be able to proceed in hosting Annapolis’s beloved tradition, the 2020 Annapolis Oyster Roast & Sock Burning.

Late today, Thursday, March 12, Governor Hogan announced several steps to safeguard our community and has directed that all events of more than 250 people be canceled.  We’re deeply disappointed to cancel this long-standing tradition, but our community’s health and safety must come first.

We will provide ticket holders a refund. To assist us in delivering our programs, we respectfully request that you consider making the cost of your ticket a donation to the Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park (AMM). If you would like to donate your tickets back to the AMM, please send an email to [email protected] by Wednesday, March 18, 2020, and we will provide you with a donation receipt for your tax-deductible gift. All ticket refunds will be processed on Thursday, March 19, 2020, and you’ll see your refund in 3-5 business days after processing. We hope that those who are affected by this terrible virus, recover quickly and that as a community, we can move forward soon.

We look forward to seeing you at our Museum Re-Grand Opening, summer concerts and the 2021 Annapolis Oyster Roast & Sock Burning.
