These hand-crafted ceramic ornaments and dishes are created by local artists at Quirk & Bach Pottery. The ceramic oyster dish is $32; the ornament is $24.

Annapolis: A Portrait – Local photographer, Lisa Masson, captures Annapolis with nearly 200 images of exceptional quality and views never seen before via her camera lens. Some notable memories include the parade up Main Street with the US Army Old Guard, in honor of the visiting ship L’Hermione,  AYC Wednesday Night racing, interiors of the Government Residence, attending the Naval Academy graduation, Sea Trials and Navy Football. The Mathews Men – Author William Geroux has produced a well-constructed and meticulously researched account of the heroics performed and sacrifices endured by the merchant marine, focusing on the Chesapeake Bay county of Mathews, Virginia. Price: $40

Chesapeake Views – Award-winning photographer John Werry draws upon his 40-year love affair with the Chesapeake Bay to inspire a book with more than 200 stunning photographs. Included in this visual tour are images of spectacular wildlife, watermen making their living, working boats, and classic boats on the Bay. Price: $47

Olly Explores – Olly the Oyster is ready for an adventure. So when Mr. Oyster tells him about the wonders of the Chesapeake Bay, he sets off to see them. Following along with Olly, kids will learn about some wonders that fly, like the Great Blue Heron, a symbol of the Bay; some that shine at night, like the Cape Henry Lighthouse; and even a wonder where you can find fossils of crocodile teeth—the Calvert Cliffs.
