DESCRIPTION:Another double header featuring 8 Ohms Band with Special Guest Dave Tieff and Area 301 Band take on Tides & Tunes! \nThe Tides & Tunes Summer Concert Series located at the Museum’s waterfront McNasby campus (723 Second St.\, Annapolis) offers 10 weeks of popular music–from rock to folk to blues–with the incomparable backdrop of the Chesapeake Bay. \n\nConcerts are free; however\, donations are gratefully accepted.\nFood (food trucks onsite) and spirits are available for purchase.\nZERO WASTE EVENT. PLEASE BRING OR BUY A CUP\nNo outside alcohol is permitted.\nBeverage sales support the Museum’s education program.\nWe love dogs\, but please leave your furry friends at home.\nBring a chair or blanket for seating.\nWeather Note: If the weather forecast is questionable on the day of the event\, a decision will be made to hold or cancel the concert at 4 p.m. Our social media feeds (Facebook\, Twitter\, & Instagram) will be updated at that time.

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the spring equinox and the beginning of boating season each March by burning those nasty winter socks at the Annapolis Oyster Roast & Sock Burning. In a tradition dating back to the late 1970s\, Annapolitans relieve themselves of the necessities of winter as the “Burn Your Socks” is recited.\nLive music in the past has been provided by popular local bands such as Naptown Brass Band and the Eastport Oyster Boys. All-you-can-eat oysters\, a shucking contest provides a chance to show your shucking prowess\, and for the young at heart\, there will be fun activities and exhibits highlighting the area’s unique maritime heritage and the importance of the oyster to the health of the Chesapeake Bay. \nAll proceeds from the event benefit the Annapolis Maritime Museum’s award-winning education programs.
