David Gendell is a lifelong Annapolis sailor. He is the co-founder of SpinSheet Magazine and PropTalk Magazine. In 2004, he was the emcee of the transfer ceremony that shifted ownership of the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse from the federal government to the City of Annapolis and its partners. His book, Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse (The History Press, July 2020) is the first book specifically devoted to the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse. A portion of the proceeds from the book are donated to lighthouse preservation efforts.
