Enrichment Programs Manager and Camp Director

Susan Sanger is a native of the eastern shore of Maryland and has always felt a connection to the outdoors.   She has 12 years experiences teaching in public and private schools in the areas of agriculture, natural resources, and environmental science and over 10 years of experiences in the environmental and outdoor education realm, including the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Maryland State Parks, The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, and The National Aquarium in Baltimore.  Susan graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with the highest honors and also has a master’s degree from Wilmington University.  She has been awarded both national and state awards for her work in public education and has been a presenter for multiple teacher association conferences at the state level.  She is a contributing author on a national curriculum project designed to enhance the authentic and real-world applications of science in high school classrooms.  Susan works closely with the Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education on several committees and recently has been awarded the Master Environmental Educator certification.  On her free time, Susan loves spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors.  She coaches a youth field hockey team and likes to hike and run, with some of her favorite trails being at Tuckahoe State Park.
