Celebrate spring with a family-friendly feast of the Chesapeake’s most cherished bivalve, the oyster.
The first 200 guests to arrive are invited to participate in a People’s Choice Oyster Dish Tasting contest featuring several of Annapolis’ best restaurants.
The day's festivities include the burning of the socks – a spring tradition at the Museum – plus LIVE MUSIC by The Rovers, oyster shucking contests, family activities and exhibits that highlight the importance of the oyster to the health of the Chesapeake Bay and the area’s cultural heritage.
Of course, there will be plenty of oysters – raw, steamed, fried and roasted. Beverages and other food available for purchase.
